The #CrespoOrganicKitchen was inspired by the beautiful blush tones of mangoes when they came up with this #recipe

Mexican Sunrise🥭🇲🇽🍹
1 ½ ounces tequila reposado
1-ounce orange juice
2 ounces #mango nectar
½ ounce lime juice

Method:
Place the tequila, orange juice, mango nectar and lime juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice. Pour a little Mezcal Grenadine over the top. Garnish with a slice of mango.

*To make mango nectar, simply blend 1 cup of fresh mango with 1 cup of water until silky smooth.

A few edible flower petals, some salty biscuits, fresh seasonal strawberries and the perfectly ripe and wrinkly #ataulfo #mango makes for one of our favorite spring desserts -

Flowery, Salty Mango-Strawberry Shortcake {Biscuits}

Ingredients

For the biscuits
½ cup buttermilk milk
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 stick (8 tablespoons ) cold salted butter, cut into small pieces

For the shortcake filling
2 cups sliced thick, strawberries
2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
2 ½ tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lavender flower petals (optional)
12 -16 ounces heavy whipping cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped small, fresh mango (not super ripe)
Flowering herbs or edible flower petals

Preheat oven to 425°F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Add cold butter, mix until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk. Drop onto baking sheet, bake 12-15 mins until golden. Let cool.

Mix strawberries, vinegar, and sugar, let sit. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla.

Cut biscuits in half. Spoon strawberry juice onto each half. Place bottom half on plate, add whipped cream. Top with strawberry mixture, fresh mango, and more whipped cream. Cover with other half of biscuit, drizzle with strawberry juice. Garnish with flower petals or herbs.
