June 2, 2023

An Indian Varietal Grown In Mexico

Thanks to Jorge Crespo (The Crespo Mango Man and his passion for all things new,  including new growing challenges, as well as his  desire to  expand the family’s expertise  always being forward thinking (Jorge is much like his father Roberto Crespo Fitch), RCF Distributors has several new specialty varietals that are being introduced in seasons ahead. The Mallika mango is Jorge’s second specialty varietal, after the Keiw Savoy ( Thai Sweet Green Mango). The Mallika is a special mango that has caught the attention of mango loves with its sweeter, more nuanced tropical exotic flavor.

Jorge’s mission aligns with the original mission of El Grupo Crespo & RCF Distributors, laid down by his father Roberto, which is not only to simply increase production and consumption of Mexican mangoes, but to do so in a manner that creates long term viable, profitable and sustainable agricultural models for the growing communities in Mexico in which they live amongst. Roberto, like his children, understood that means advancing, in systems as well as offerings. No one knows just how much things change more than farmers. And the family is always thinking of how to improve and grow as consumers needs and the market and world changes.

For El Grupo Crespo, and RCF Distributors (aka the mango experts) there is no choice but to always be evolving and growing. New varietals are a part of that evolvement.

Our Mallika mangoes available in our Mango King & Crespo Organic brans is one of the most exciting mangoes to be introduced on the market and thrives during the peak of summer, when we all crave the sweet and drippy ecstasy of mangoes most!

The  Mallika mango.

Available in June & July. The Mallika orchards are very special.  These come from smaller, newly producing orchards, volumes are small and the season is short get them while you can!

This is a very special mango. Indian varietals are very difficult to get in the USA despite the fact that some consider them the best varietals in the world. Mallikas are prized for their ultra sweet creamy and totally fiberless flesh.
